     Personal Self- Defense Tips

    General/ Nuclear Survival

"PRE·PAR'ED·NESS: A 1590 noun meaning: 1: the quality or state of being prepared; 2: especially, a state of adequate preparation in case of war." (Merriam-Webster's Dictionary 2001)

1. Humans cannot survive more than three hours exposed to extreme low-temperature.
2. Humans cannot survive more than three days without water.
3. Humans cannot survive more than three weeks without food.

The Rule of Three is often otherwise formulated and is viewed by commentators as a rough guide. An aircrew reportedly lasted 8 days without water in a life raft*. People have survived without food for over twenty-one days.

2. Food - canned food. Plan to grow your own food. Gardening - have a closet full of food. What good is money in the bank if you have no food?

6. Medical needs - check out videos on medical procedures. Check out youtube.com.

7. Have a garden NOW. Look at gardengirl.tv

8. Gold or Silver. Non-hybrid seeds may become more valuable than gold or silver.

9. Tribe - connect with others in small communities with the same goals. Unite resources by bartering. Reach out to each other.

10. Plan a,b,c. Itemize your plan , not just a vague idea. Make copies of the plan and have meeting places in a devastating event. Plan for no ability to contact each other. Create a Plan B, just in case. Get names and numbers of your tribe.

11. a) Animals - you need the same for your pets you need for yourself. Think ahead.
     b) Growing animals, goats, a cow, chickens, rabbits for their hair for clothing.

12. Clothes - think before throwing clothes away. If they can be worn in a disaster, keep them. Buy clothes now while they are cheap.
